The reason why the #metoo was selected for analysis or to be introduced. Firstly, #metoo had global attention. The #metoo movement has been utilized in at least 85 nations worldwide, which encourages more victims of abuse to speak out. For instance, Japan and Korea are two Asian nations that see strong reactions. In Japan, women are frequently judged responsible for sexual assault even when their attackers shouldn't be. For Korea, there were some networks of groups to laid out for citizens to support the #MeToo movement. The campaign inspired victims to come forward.

Secondly, there were some controversial in the #metoo movement. According to a survey from America, Male executives in enterprises do not interact with female subordinates because of "avoidance of suspicion" and avoid holding meetings or business trips with female subordinates alone, which may prevent female employees from having the opportunity to learn from senior executives in the company and miss out on promotion opportunities. For women, the situation was unfair.  However, others believe that #metoo contradicts the legal concepts of "presumption of innocence" and "due process," which netizens frequently refer to as "judgment without trial."

Thirdly, in #metoo movement is advantageous for society as a whole. It successfully drew public attention and discussion. It also raises people's awareness of sexual crimes. The #Metoo movement has hastened the anti-sexual harassment system's change. It reflects how the inequality of power within the social culture and system can lead to sexual assault and harassment, which immediately increases social pressure on institutions and organizations to implement reforms to address the issue of sexual assault and harassment.
